More medals for Santa Rosa Masters. John took second place 400 IM with a time of 4:19.30, and Warren took sixth with a 5:41+. It was an agonizing three days of waiting and watching my comrades garnish all the hardware, but the waiting proved fruitful. Now that the butterflies are gone, I have the 200 freestyle to contend with this afternoon; Joe has the 50 fly. I may have broken the PMS record held by my buddy Matt Kanzler, but I need to check.
Thanks for all the comments on the blog! We love the support and are trying to make you proud.

I'm on an early AM walkabout so I couldn't wait to check the blog. John got to swim! Congratulations on what looks like a great time (5:19 I suspect instead of 4:19). But they haven't posted the results on the website yet that I can find. And great picture of Warren at the beach on flickr! Keep up the great work everyone. Erin M

Great job John! Outstanding time, way to break that 5:20 barrier. According to last year's records Jim Clemmons had the record at 5:20.62. So it looks like you got him again. What's with the pictures in the locker room? I thought this was a G rated meet? Good luck in the rest of your events. Show us a closeup of your guys' hardware next time.
Thanks
Congrats John! Way to start the meet in style with a silver medal! From where you were a year ago, you have been on an incredible journey that has inspired us all. And I know you are only getting started. Gosh, I'm thinking that all your guys' amazing success needs to be documented for all to see--like on the sides of a white van in Santa Rosa. Keep enjoying every minute of this...
One more chiming in from the Morales family. I'm proud of everything you do in and out of the pool. Make sure to kick.
Way to go John - you are truly amazing. You just keep getting better with age! Good luck and have fun with the rest of your races.

Leaping Kangaroos! That was fast John.Wish I could have been there for that one.Hope someone is videotaping.2nd @ Worlds, just amazing!I can almost hear the buzz traveling among the crowd..."Where is this place called Santa Rosa & what are they putting in the water?" Of course the answer is its in beautiful Sonoma County & in the water they've put a lot of hard work & its paying off in spades.Head down, stay focused,I know there's plenty more where that came from.

I'm the last one in the family to comment, only because I wanted to save the best for last, of course. Congratulations Papa, you are amazing. I suspect this is the first of many medals.

Good swim John. I thought Matt went faster than 5:19.62 someplace but I could only find him at 5:19.97 at SPMA LCM Champs last year. Ya got me - barely, but ya got me nonetheless. Keep up the great swims!
Jim
