"You California boys need to work on your tans," the announcer said when they hung the medals around our necks. The Russians standing on the podium next to us looked pretty pale in comparison. (Dave was off with his water polo team during the medal ceremony, thank goodness... he's as white as the Russians.) --Joe

This picture reminds me of the ceremony scene at the end of the first Star Wars movie. This makes John, my dad, the valiant Luke Skywalker. Joe is the dashing smuggler Han Solo. Which makes Warren... Chewy? Han did say, "it's not wise to upset a Wookie" which is reminiscent of something I may have heard about Warren... At any rate, congratulations to all, the force really must have been with you.
Love the Star Wars analolgy! I believe Warren could have a great new nickname--"Wookie"! My sister-in-law, Gwen, told him had an evil twinkle in his eye when she got in his way on the Turkey Burner workout, but we all know you're a teddy bear.
