They won't make it through the medal detector

Why are these two hunks smiling? Because they are soon to have some hardware around their necks. Santa Rosa is on the boards! Joe garnered a third and Warren an eighth in the 800 free. Joe swam a 9:46 and Warren a 10:02. Best times for both. So the pressure is off them and put on me. I have 2 days to prove myself. Joe has the 200 back tomorrow and Warren the 100 free. Wish them luck. Oh, and Mali has the 100 free also.(that is if she stops checking my typing)

I knew when Joe referred to the 800as his "warm-up" that he was bluffing. Please forward a "good on ya, mate!" from his brother Rob.

WOW! Out of the gates with a bang (or is it off the blocks?). Sounds like a fun adventure. The pain, intensity, focus, and determination are paying off. I'm sure there is more good news to come.

Looks like Joe's rest was just what the doctor ordered for his swim in that 800. Good drop for Warren compared to World's '06 as well. I'll bet he's a little disappointed compared to his 10:01 from last year, but heck, that was in his backyard by comparison.

A dawg story-

So there’s this 20 year old kid in my neighborhood who has a Rotweiller named Ruff. The dog is getting on in years but is still very strong even with a little extra around the middle. The kid has the dog pull him around on his skateboard & they go a decent clip, maybe 15mph. Now this kid is a speed demon, he likes to go fast whenever he can.
Well, I’m coming home this evening,& flying along the side of the road is Ruff towing the kid @ 25mph. As I pull up beside them I see that Ruff is wearing a Speedo Fastskin 2 body suit. Then we come to the stop sign, I roll down the window& ask the kid how Ruff likes his suit. The kid tells me Ruff feels like he’s 20 again. I’ll have to say that old Ruff looked a little different in that suit, but man he was flying!
And by the way ,the kid said he had never seen Ruff so happy & it was the best money he had ever spent!
Oh & also , the dog that lives down the block ,her name is Sheila, thinks Ruff looks fantastic in his new suit.

Just thought you'lld like to know -

Just one word...AMAZING!
Way to go team USA!
I think I check this blog at least 5 times a day waiting for the news of the day. Just remember winning isn't everything it's the only thing. Best times and quality swims are WINNING!
Keep it up.
